Ethiopisch letters behoren tot een bepaald taal-schrift , de manier waarop de letters geschreven worden. Hoe lang ze al gebruikt worden, kunt u lezen op de: Geschiedenis van de geschreven taal . Hieronder staat het Ethiopische alfabet, een Ethiopische tekst en diverse links. Om dat te kunnen weergeven werd het volgende gedaan. Eerst werden Ethiopische fonts gedownload: FONT "Ethiopia Jiret". Die werden daarna in de directory C:\WINDOWS\FONTS neergezet. Kijk hiervoor onderaan naar de download-sites. Daarna werd op deze site een zgn. "meta-tag" gezet, die ervoor zorgt dat de Browser de tekenset UTF-8 kiest. Voor chararter-sets + adviezen kijk op: Language Tips .
Ethiopian characters belong to a specific language script , the way it is written. The age of the written language (of the script) is mentioned in: the history of writing . Below you will find the Ethiopian alphabet, an Ethiopian text and some links. In order to present it in the correct way two things have been taken care off. First: Ethiopian fonts were downloaded: FONT "Ethiopia Jiret". and were put in the directory C:\WINDOWS\FONTS. Look below for the download sites. Second: a socalled "meta-tag" was put on this site. The meta-tag sets the Internet Browser to the chararter-set "charset UTF-8". For chararter-sets and advise look at the Language Tips .

To make the word "Amaregna" (= the
